Tornado (Jnr) vs GNG Amber

What a day for Tornados Macklins. This match was the moment everything from training came together the spacing, the timing, the communication, the confidence. The players didn’t just win; they played as a team, supported each other, and showed exactly what they’re capable of.

From the first centre pass to the final whistle, Macklins led with purpose, energy, and belief.

🌟 Attacking End – Calm, Creative, Clinical

Michaela – GS

Michaela was superb. Only her second match, yet she shot with the composure of someone far more experienced. Her accuracy, confidence, and calmness under pressure were huge factors in today’s win.

Agnes – GA

Agnes worked tirelessly around the circle, offering smart leads, feeding beautifully, and supporting Michaela with patience and great decision-making. Her movement and timing were straight out of training.

Grace T – WA

Grace T was outstanding. Her ability to find space and time her drives made a massive difference. She constantly offered safe options, opened up the circle, and kept the attacking end flowing.

Emily – Captain & WA

Emily was exceptional. As captain, she led with calm authority and lifted the team with her voice and work rate. Playing WA, her drives into space, sharp feeds, and ability to read the game were outstanding. Fully deserved Player of the Match for the second week running.

💛 Mid-Court Engine – Control, Commitment, Consistency

Freya – C

Freya was the heartbeat of the team. She linked defence and attack with calm control, quick decision-making, and relentless energy. Her commitment was incredible squeezing in the match despite a last‑minute time change and her dance commitments. She gave everything for her team.

🔒 Defensive Unit – Pressure, Timing, Teamwork

Grace B – WD

Grace B brought grit and determination, breaking up play, applying pressure, and helping transition the ball safely through the court. Her defensive hustle and smart positioning were vital.

Florence – GD/GK

Florence was a rock in defence. Whether in GD or GK, she read the game beautifully, intercepted with precision, and kept GNG Amber’s shooters under constant pressure. Calm, reliable, and incredibly effective.

Abi – GK/GD

Abi was relentless — contesting every ball, communicating constantly, and working in perfect partnership with Florence. Her timing, footwork, and determination helped shut down GNG Amber’s attack and win crucial turnovers.
