Festive Fun Shoot out

On Monday 15th December, Macklins Netball Club held its Festive Sponsored Shoot at Rainham Mark Grammar School, bringing together players, coaches, volunteers and families for a fun-filled evening of netball, fundraising and festive cheer.

Running from 6:00pm to 7:30pm, the event provided a lively, inclusive shooting challenge designed to celebrate the end of the year while raising vital funds for the club. Despite some minor traffic delays affecting arrivals at the start of the evening, the event ran smoothly, finished on time, and delivered fantastic participation and scoring across all teams.

⭐ Event Highlights

Players were pre-allocated into festive-themed teams, allowing the evening to flow smoothly from the outset. A rotating shooting format kept everyone active and engaged, while clearly defined zones within the sports hall ensured safe movement, excellent visibility for spectators, and efficient scoring at each post.

The festive atmosphere was boosted by music, decorations, and plenty of encouragement from coaches, volunteers and teammates — creating a fun, supportive environment for players of all ages.

When not actively shooting, players took part in festive training drills delivered in a separate zone, ensuring everyone stayed involved, supervised and active throughout the evening.

The Festive Sponsored Shoot was a huge success thanks to the incredible dedication, teamwork and festive spirit of the Macklins committee and volunteers. Phil, our Head Coach, brought energy and fun to the evening by delivering engaging festive drills that kept players active, happy and well supervised throughout.

Adam’s planning, organisation and on-the-night support — alongside regular social media updates — helped ensure the event ran seamlessly from start to finish.

Claire, Laura and Deborah went above and beyond across every aspect of the event, from registrations and supervision to scoring, scheduling, sponsorship administration and transforming the hall with festive decorations. Their enthusiasm, flexibility and positivity were truly outstanding and played a massive part in delivering such a memorable, enjoyable and successful evening for everyone involved.
