Q1: Macklins 2 - 0 GNG Amber The Academy team came out with brilliant focus right from the first whistle. It was a tightly contested opening 8 minutes, but our defence was an absolute fortress, denying GNG Amber any early goals while our attackers calmly slotted in two to take the initial lead.

Q2: Macklins 6 - 2 GNG Amber The intensity stepped up in the second quarter! GNG Amber found the net to get on the scoreboard, but Macklins responded with fantastic energy. The attacking transitions were incredibly sharp, allowing the team to score four more beautiful goals and extend the lead heading into the halftime break.

Q3: Macklins 7 - 2 GNG Amber This quarter was an absolute defensive masterclass. Both teams battled fiercely for every single ball, resulting in a low-scoring but highly athletic quarter. The Academy squad held their nerve, completely shutting out the GNG Amber attack for the entire duration while adding another crucial goal to their tally.

Q4: Macklins 8 - 5 GNG Amber GNG Amber refused to back down and threw everything they had into the final quarter, managing to score three late goals in a fantastic comeback effort. However, the Macklins players showed immense resilience and maturity, keeping their composure, controlling the pace, and adding one final goal to securely seal the victory at 8-5!

Amariah (C / WD): Amariah was an absolute force on the court! Whether dictating the pace and driving the ball forward at Centre, or applying relentless, suffocating pressure at Wing Defence, her work rate was unmatched. She was crucial in turning over the ball and linking up our plays beautifully.

Isla (GA): Isla was spectacular in the attacking third! Playing Goal Attack, her movement was phenomenal, constantly creating space and working seamlessly around the circle. She kept a remarkably cool head under pressure to sink vital shots and keep the scoreboard ticking for the team.
