Celebrating Community Spirit and Winter Highlights at Macklins Netball Club

Season’s greetings, Macklins family! As the chilly days roll in and the sparkle of winter fills the air, it’s time to celebrate the latest happenings at our vibrant club. The first session after our club reset was simply magical, your energy and smiles warmed up even on the coldest evenings! Whether you’re a junior just starting out or a seasoned member, every one of you adds a special sparkle to our community.

We’re thrilled to announce that Macklins now has more than 60 active members. What a fantastic achievement! It’s incredible to see so many faces, both new and familiar, coming together on and off the court. There’s truly a festive buzz in the air every time we meet.

A huge cheer to the Teamo app, which keeps us all connected and in tip-top shape for training, matches, and those legendary social events. If you haven’t already, pop the app on your phone. It's the secret ingredient to staying organised and never missing out on club fun!

Macklins Netball Club is proud to announce the appointment of Eyna Baul as Club Captain, a role she assumes with immediate effect. Eyna was elected by her fellow

peers following several weeks of training sessions, a testament to the respect and trust she has earned within the squad.

Eyna’s appointment comes at a pivotal time for the club. With one senior team and three junior squads.

The Club Captain plays a vital role in bridging the gap between players and coaches, representing the membership in discussions with the Club Committee, and leading on match day responsibilities.

This honour places Eyna among a select group of individuals who have held the captaincy in Macklins Netball Club’s 20-year history. Her leadership marks a new chapter as the club enters its milestone anniversary year.

Head Coach Phill Harvey commented:

“I am delighted that the players have nominated Eyna to be their captain. She is a key member of the senior team but more than that, she has come through the ranks from a very young age. Having been with us for over ten years, Eyna is now the longest- serving current member at Macklins Netball Club. I’ve always respected Eyna but now that she is officially our right-hand, We are really looking forward to working with her as the coaching team and committee, as we rebuild the club back to where we used to be, and beyond. Eyna has seen what success looks like at Macklins and there is no better person to lead the players into a new era.”

Eyna’s tenure begins as the club prepares for this week’s fixture against Inferno in the Medway Netball League, where a renewed sense of excitement and anticipation

surrounds the team. Her leadership promises to inspire both senior and junior members as Macklins Netball Club looks ahead to a bright future.

If you are unsure on size you may need, we have a few samples for you to try on to get the size that is right for you! Pop into a training session where this can be arranged, once you know your size, please follow the steps below:

Once you’ve submitted the form, head to the shop and lock in your kit!

🛑 Heads up: We need a minimum of 10 orders to launch the bulk order — and we’re nearly there! So don’t wait around, get yours in and tell your teammates too!

Fees – Important Information for All Members

Hi everyone, Here’s a quick update to make sure everyone is clear on how club fees work.

Which can also be seen in our payment agreement here, please ensure you read and sign this agreement.

💳 Payment Options

You can choose to pay your fees:

In full (all at once), or
In instalments, to help spread the cost

All members are welcome to use the instalment option. However, if you prefer, you can pay the full amount upfront instead of waiting for the second instalment to be taken automatically.

👥 If a Player Leaves the Club

Please note: Once a player is registered for the season, the full fee remains payable, even if they leave or stop playing part way through. This is because the club’s operating cost, such as team registration, court hire, match fees, and equipment are based on the total number of registered players. These expenses don’t reduce if someone leaves mid-season.

🤝 If You’re Having Trouble Paying

We understand that circumstances can change. If you need extra time or help arranging payments, please reach out. We’re always happy to work with you to find a solution that fits your situation.
